May we predict what will happen? OUSD President Tim Surridge is going to schedule a special meeting (or an emergency meeting)—at the last minute--so that it will be nearly impossible for people to attend the final vote.
This should not dissuade anyone from attending the July 25 OUSD Meeting. This may be our last chance to make ourselves heard before the final vote. More than ever, we need you there.
JULY 25 - SCHEDULE CHANGE - WHAT TO EXPECT
Surridge has scheduled a last-minute closed session at 6 p.m., during which Peralta will be discussed. Before this closed session begins, there will be an opportunity for public comments. We need AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO SPEAK. Please plan to show up at 5:15 p.m. for our rally.
Furthermore, we need people to speak the regular meeting, which begins at 7 p.m.
Blue cards, available at both meetings, must be signed and turned in 15 minutes before each meeting starts.
In the meantime, here are the lease agreement drafts for your review:

Please arrive early and, if you're able:
1. Wear orange to show solidarity
2. Sign a blue card and speak at the meeting
3. If you have a yard sign, bring it. We want to make a HUGE visual impact
4. If you have other signs you'd like to make and bring, do that too!
5. We must be respectful, but we need to MAKE OURSELVES HEARD
