Though the lease with Fairfield was successfully defeated in October, OUSD President Surridge plans to sell the property.
If the property is sold, we must continue to ensure that it is not developed in a way that contradicts the city’s general plan. In fact, we have little doubt that developers are interested in buying this property outright and proposing a general plan amendment.
Our continued vigilance is critical. We cannot let our guard down. We must remain fully engaged in this fight. Please continue to display your yard signs, and please continue to read the communications we are sending.
